The Diagnostic and Treatment Pathway
1. Initial Consultation & Risk Assessment

2. High-Resolution Diagnostics
- Digital mammography and tomosynthesis
- Breast ultrasound
- Breast MRI (if needed)
- Minimally invasive tissue sampling (core biopsy, vacuum biopsy)
3. Individualised Therapy Planning
All cases are reviewed in a multidisciplinary tumor board consisting of:
- Breast surgeons
- Radiologists
- Oncologists
- Pathologists
- Plastic and reconstructive surgeons
- Psychologists or psycho-oncologists (if needed)
Together, they design a personalised treatment plan, which may include:
- Breast-conserving surgery or mastectomy
- Oncoplastic reconstruction in the same procedure
- Chemotherapy, hormone therapy, or targeted therapies
- Radiotherapy (when indicated)
